Our Vision

We help recruitment businesses achieve more by driving the digital transformation of their services, processes and people with Microsoft’s cloud solutions.

Our integrated, mobile solutions give your recruiters productivity, connectivity and intelligence they need to efficiently bring the best professionals and businesses together.

Why Microsoft?

Microsoft’s vision is to reinvent productivity to empower every person and organisation on the planet to achieve more.

To do this Microsoft are building best-in-class platforms and productivity services for a mobile-first, cloud-first world rooted in the intelligent cloud. Their platforms harmonise the interests of end users, developers and IT better than any competing ecosystem or platform.

As a Microsoft ISV partner have been utilising Microsoft’s best-in-class platforms and productivity services in building our new cloud based recruitment CRM, Colleague 7 – fully integrated with Microsoft Office 365 and hosted with Microsoft Azure.

In 2017 we were appointed a Microsoft Tier 1 Direct Cloud Solutions Provider, enabling us to offer Microsoft cloud licenses and services to businesses, alongside our  recruitment CRM applications – including Microsoft Office 365, Azure solutions and Dynamics 365 licenses.

We have also been developing a Microsoft Dynamics 365 recruitment application, targeted at recruitment enterprises looking to seamlessly unify their CRM and ERP capabilities and transform their business for the digital age.

Our History

Colleague was developed in-house for Arena Resources in 1994 by Mike Granger and has been honed and shaped by niche recruiters ever since.

When Arena Resources Ltd was acquired by Lorien PLC in 1996 Lorien’s management were so impressed with Colleague that they persuaded the Managing Director, Will Minns, to help them implement it across the group and Mike Granger, Colleague’s creator, was permitted to sell Colleague to other recruitment businesses. After finishing his project with Lorien, Will founded online recruitment businesses Hy-phen.com in 1999, selling it to the Spring Group in 2001, and eventually returned to Colleague in 2002 after acquiring the IPR and setting up Colleague Software Ltd.

Since then our experience, flexibility and close relationship with recruitment leaders has put us ahead when it comes to understanding your needs. We’ve worked closely with our specialist clients, and thought leaders, to ensure we continue to remain innovative and adaptable in a rapidly evolving environment.

Since 2017 we have closely aligned ourselves with Microsoft’s vision to reinvent productivity to empower every person and organisation on the planet to achieve more – or in our case recruiters and recruitment businesses.

Today we have 3 UK offices and Colleague is used by hundreds of specialist recruitment businesses who value a partner that is knowledgeable, trustworthy, reliable and indispensable.
