Colleague 6 integrates with email marketing provider, MailChimp

Our integration will allow Colleague 6 users to add candidates and contacts to their MailChimp lists as well as track the activities and statistics of those receiving MailChimp campaigns from within Colleague 6 - fantastic intelligence for recruitment consultants looking to engage and nurture their pipelines more effectively.

What is MailChimp?

Key integration features: 

  • This integration allows users to add contacts or candidates to a MailChimp list from within Colleague either individually or via a search result. This will ‘upload’ the record (name and email) to MailChimp against the selected MailChimp list. The business can then send e-marketing campaigns to that individual from within MailChimp.

  • There is a two stage process to adding an individual in Colleague to a list in MailChimp. The first stage is run by the user when they add the Colleague record to the list. The second stage approval is within the control panel area - where an administrator (a marketing or sales manager for instance) can check that their colleagues have been adding legitimate contacts / candidates to MailChimp lists and approve / reject.

  • When an individual receives an email campaign within MailChimp their record within Colleague is marked with history logs in relation to their activity (open email, URL clicks, etc.)

  • This integration allows any business to easily design, send and report on email marketing campaigns from within MailChimp. MailChimp is free for up to 2000 subscribers and 12,000 emails a month. Find out more on pricing here: http://mailchimp.com/pricing/

  • Sales teams are able to use the email campaign data (clicks, opens etc.) to prioritise and co-ordinate follow up telesales campaigns. For instance, a client could generate a report of clicks and opens associated with contacts by contact owner as a lead list. 


MailChimp Usage Notes: 

  • Replication is one way. New registrations made directly via MailChimp forms or via a manual import of a file will not sync from MailChimp to Colleague. Removing someone from a list within Colleague will not remove them from MailChimp. The MailChimp lists are always considered the master lists.

  • There can only be one MailChimp account associated to this integration. It is recommended that your business setup a company account or marketing account, and users all use this account so that the data is mapped correctly.
