We’re excited to announce the latest Colleague release, packed with powerful new functionality designed to help recruitment businesses work smarter, automate repetitive tasks, and improve productivity across the entire recruitment lifecycle.
🌟 Introducing the Automation Engine
The headline feature of this release is our brand-new Automation Engine.
Recruitment teams can now automate a wide range of activities, including:
✅ Sending emails
✅ Creating tasks
✅ Updating fields
✅ Adding records to lists and favourites
✅ Triggering user notifications
✅ Recording history automatically
Automations can be triggered by events such as record creation, status changes, stage progression, inactivity periods, dates approaching, Watchdog matches, and much more.
The result? Less admin, more engagement, and more time spent placing candidates.
📄 Bulk CV Parsing via OneDrive
Need to process large volumes of CVs?
Users can now upload CVs directly into a dedicated OneDrive folder and let Colleague automatically parse them in the background. The process supports the same rich functionality as individual CV parsing, including formatted CV creation, email backdating, and profile image extraction.
📊 Reporting & Team Management Enhancements
We’ve improved reporting flexibility by allowing managers to be excluded from team statistics and enabling reporting across multiple teams without requiring team membership.
🎨 User Experience Improvements
This release also delivers numerous usability enhancements, including:
- New homepage tab structure
- Improved toolbar handling on smaller screens
- Resizable Notes and Skills layouts
- Attachment renaming before sending emails
- Bulk contact address updates
- Candidate rate unit-of-measure
🔧 Performance & Stability Updates
Alongside the new functionality, we’ve delivered important fixes covering session management, Watchdog searches, Apollo integration, search screen behaviour, contact history handling, contract processing, and more.
