The Story behind The Recruiters Masterclass

In 2013, David Kingston, a colleague and friend, tragically lost his daughter to Cystic Fibrosis. Since that time we at Colleague have often talked about hosting a charitable event to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust – a fantastic organisation which helps fund research and supports patients and families affected by this disease. We thought about a ball, a social or an auction – but all too often these charitable events raise less than you think and provide little value to those donating. We went back to the drawing board and after much thought we had an idea – why don’t we host a series of online training classes that will give something genuinely useful back to the market we work in and help raise money for the CF Trust. The Recruiters Masterclass was born.
After much organising we hosted our first Recruiters Masterclass in May 2015 – a week of five online sessions featuring industry leaders such as:

All generously gave their time for free. The setup was simple, donate to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and we would give access to the live masterclasses and their recordings. In the end over 60 recruitment businesses took part, with hundreds of consultants watching live – and most importantly we raised £6896.80 towards the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
